May 20-27 – Third International Outdoor Painting Session in Bilyelin-Brodac ,2012 May 20-27 – Third International Outdoor Painting Session in Bilyelin-Brodac ,2012. For the third time the artists of IRIDA took part in this popular event in Bosnia. A number of participants is growing from year to year. This time 130 artists have got together. Russian, Greek and Italian artists joined their colleagues from Balkan countries.
In spite of some difficulties connected with accommodation, transfer and food arrangements the goodwill and cordial welcome of the hosts did not come down. It was not mere chance that agenda of our stay included everyday friendly meetings, contacts and exchange of views. The language barriers did not prevent us from reaching mutual understanding.
The fruitfulness of joint creative work found its clear manifestation in two concluding exhibitions in Brodac and Bilyelin. We will hardly forget a farewell party with an excellent concert of young amateur performers. We express our heartfelt gratitude to a leading organizer of our plein- airs , Director of Tourist Company – Simo Laketich.
The final touch of a picturesque journey was of course an excellent and unforgettable sight-seeing in Beograd carried by our good friend Varvara Medvedeva.
