The 65th anniversary of Great Victory
April 27. The opening of the exhibition dedicated to “the 65th anniversary of Great Victory”.
The exhibition held in the White Hall of the Central House of Journalists. It was organized by the Association of artists of press and IRIDA. Among the participants of the exhibitions there were the names of artists known to all Russia owing to their works published in the most popular magazines of the Soviet Union like “Ogonyok”, “Smena”, “Yunost” and publishing houses like “Izvestya”, “Molodaya Gvardiya”, “Detskaya Literatura”. They are Gennady Novozhilov, Mikhail Petrov, Leonid biriukov, German Cheremushkin and others.
The memory of hard days of the war was manifestly seen in the works of IRIDA artists like Marina Fedorovskaya and Larissa Sergeeva (series “Children of the war”), Eleonora Belevskaya (“Mother” and “ Portrait of a soldier- anti aircraft gunner”), and also invited artists -Valeriy Krasnovskiy (photo-collage), Pavel Kozlovskiy (drawings of soldiers` everyday life).
At Round Table in the White Hall the artists and guests shared their reminiscences of their wartime childhood, tales of their fathers about frightful life of common soldiers at war and their heroic deeds.
