“Spring Salon – 2012” was the 20th jubilee event..
March 29 – April 8. “Spring Salon – 2012” was the 20th jubilee event. This is our traditional most important project of a year. This time it was unusually successful: 286 participants from 38 cities and towns of Russia and 488 works of various fields of fine arts were presented.
Internet was of great help! For the first time our Organizing Committee acted through the world web. St Petersburg operated most actively providing 46 participants with excellent art works.
It is worth to be mentioned that besides traditional paintings, graphic works and applied art items rather new object d`art produced with unused media and of different concept have appeared. Irina Koleinichenko`s “Leaves” drew special attention. Very good batiks and tapestries of young artists arrived from Saratov. Quite original and interesting paintings were submitted by Victoria Krupskaya from Vitebsk (Belarus), Elena Grin from Krasnodar, Julia Simakova and Margarita Smirnova from Ekaterinoburg. And Muscovites, certainly, showed themselves to advantage, starting from graduates of art schools and closing by renown Academicians. Xenia Nechitailo`s work “New Year Dress” was awarded a medal of the Russian Ministry of Culture.
The Jury was in embarrassment: how to deal with a lots of good works grossly excessing a number of prizes. The unanimous opinion of the adjudicators was that women`s art creations submitted for contest were the real art of hall-mark.
